game history —

This is incomplete and will remain forever so because my memory is terrible and I went through so many games trying to find a Good Fit, but here are some of the big names and highlights.

THE DIADEM [community profile] diademlogs
Daisy Johnson [personal profile] chuju from game opening in June 2025.

SINGILLATIM [community profile] singillatim
La'an Noonien-Singh [personal profile] rescapee from game opening in Sept 2023 to spring 2024, with a brief return in fall 2024. Daisy Johnson [personal profile] chuju from spring to fall 2024. I loved the setting and the people, but I struggled with feeling like I wasn't able to do enough for my own connection to warrant taking up a spot in a capped game.

THE VILLAGE [community profile] villagelogs
Daisy Johnson [personal profile] chuju from game opening to closing. This was my own game so it was designed to meet my own personal preferences. Horror and mystery, higher AC, smaller number of characters, a flexible longer day ratio... I would love to play in another Lovecraftian horror game not of my own design so I could enjoy just being a player.

MASK OR MENACE [community profile] maskormenacelogs
Padmé Amidala [personal profile] senateur and Rogue [personal profile] theycalledmeacurse from Sept 2018 to Dec 2019. To be honest, there was a lot that I didn't enjoy about this game. There were a lot of slice of life and cheesy events that are very much not my jam and players came and went frequently enough that it was hard to get much quality long-term cr established. In the end, I stayed specifically for the handful of characters I did have good cr with until that wasn't enough.

IN THE NIGHT [community profile] logsinthenight
Elena Gilbert [personal profile] otrazhenie and Buffy Summers [personal profile] first_summers for a few months after game opening in late 2019. I loved the spooky vibes, the mystery of the little town, the constant night and use of lanterns. There were many great threads and fun investigations, but I ultimately left because of changes in moderation that I didn't agree with.

POPULATION: YOU [community profile] populationyou
Elena Gilbert [personal profile] otrazhenie at game opening in early 2019. I was really excited for a game set in actual Silent Hill with a cool nightmare mechanic, but the actual gameplay turned out to not be for me. The action and combat was too chaotic for my taste because of the tabletop elements the mods utilized, so I left before the game closed a few months later.

REVERIE [community profile] reverielogs
Rogue [personal profile] theycalledmeacurse and Padmé Amidala [personal profile] senateur for a few months in 2018 during the game's brief run. Loosely inspired by The Cloverfield Paradox, I loved the blending of sci-fi and horror in this one.

DEERINGTON [community profile] deerington
Elena Gilbert [personal profile] otrazhenie very briefly at the opening of the game in early 2018. I lovedlovedloved the vibes but it bordered on too intricate for me, with so much information and yet no obvious way for me to interact with the setting or plot. This may have changed later, but by the time I looked at the game again, it was massive.

THE QUIET PLACE [community profile] quietplacelogs
Elena Gilbert [personal profile] otrazhenie and Buffy Summers [personal profile] first_summers in early 2018 right before the game closed suddenly. Based on one of my favorite horror movies, I was really sad for this one because it's such a good apocalyptic premise and there aren't enough survival games out there.

STATION 72 [community profile] station72
Elena Gilbert [personal profile] otrazhenie and Rogue [personal profile] theycalledmeacurse until game closing in spring 2018. I loved this game so much because of the flexible day ratio (which I took inspiration from for my own game), the hive mind element, and the focus on interpersonal relationships between characters. It took work to keep up with the high AC but it was so worth it for the quality threads and cr that developed. This remains my favorite game of my RP career.

THE PINES [community profile] pineslog
Rogue [personal profile] theycalledmeacurse and Elena Gilbert [personal profile] otrazhenie for a few months in spring 2017. Based on Wayward Pines, I loved the creepy isolated town where everyone had memory loss and new lives until they remembered who they really were. I had to leave because of some painful player interactions but I still miss the possibilities of this setting.
